State Street Launches Digital Asset Platform for Tokenized Products
State Street has unveiled a new digital asset platform aimed at institutional clients, marking its first production-grade infrastructure for tokenized financial products. The offering supports tokenized money market funds, ETFs, and cash instruments including stablecoins and tokenized deposits.
The platform combines wallet management, custody services, and cash functionality across both private and public permissioned blockchains. While State Street declined to specify supported networks or product timelines, the infrastructure is positioned as a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets.
"We're moving beyond experimentation into practical, scalable solutions," said Joerg Ambrosius, president of investment services at State Street. The platform integrates with the bank's existing systems while adding on-chain compliance controls, pairing blockchain connectivity with operational safeguards.
